Customer Release Form/Disclaimer
THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING NM TINTS & WRAPS
We would like you to have some background knowledge on auto glass tinting and vinyl wrapping. Although we use 3M, one of the best material films on the market and do quality workmanship, there are some factors to deal with:
Tinting
Dust
Dust is all around us and is next to impossible to keep out of the air. This also makes it impossible to completely keep off the film. However, we take every precaution to do so. We are not responsible for any dust that may show up, and small dust specs are not covered under warranty. If the interior of the car is excessively dirty, we may need to clean it to keep the environment as dust free as possible. We will only do so if necessary, but needing to do so will incur a $30 fee. This also includes things like animal hair or anything else that will get under the film during installation. We are not detailers, so this will not be a detail of the entire car; this is only for the surfaces that will interfere with the tinting process, e.g. the dash, rear deck, etc.
Dot Matrix
Dot Matrix is a series of small dots the factory puts around the edge of some windows and along the back glass as a visual cosmetic border. These dots are basically bumps on the glass that may cause the film to stick on the dots instead of the window. This will not cause the film to peel, but will seem silver in appearance. This is normal and will not disappear. Once the film dries, it will usually settle in a uniform position and is sometimes possible to press them down to some degree.
Harmonic Distortion
If you are wearing polarized sunglasses or glasses, you may see anomalies on the glass, (rainbows, lines, or marks are a few examples) which are an inherent result of the glass tempering processes. NM Tints & Wraps is not responsible for these anomalies. If you wish to have tint removed there will be an additional fee.
Electrical Issues After Install
Modern cars have more electrical components than ever. Although every precaution is taken to avoid damage, there are inherent risks while tinting as water is sprayed onto the windows, exposing these systems to moister and water runoff. This is especially true for windshield installations as water runoff behind the dash can damage the vehicle ECU. We are not responsible for damages that may occur to these electrical systems.
Please ask before having the installation to understand your risk before work begins.
Legality
The state of New Jersey does not allow vehicles that will be driven on public roads to have any tint on the front windows (driver and passenger door, forward of the B pillar) or windshield (this does not include a strip of non-reflective 35% VLT tint along the top 6 inches of passenger vehicles), without a medical exemption signed by a doctor and issued from the MVC. The rear section, including rear window, can legally be tinted any darkness and colored tint is not restricted. No window is allowed to have a mirrored or metallic appearance. If the rear window is tinted, the vehicle must have dual side mirrors.
By signing this form, you acknowledge that you understand the laws and agree to abide by them. Any tint that does not follow these laws will be for a show car or off road vehicle that will not be driven on New Jersey public roads. NM Tints & Wraps is not responsible for any tickets or accidents that occur due to tint or illegal operation of a tinted vehicle. If tint needs to be removed, there will be an additional fee.
Warranty
Our 3M film comes with a lifetime manufacturer and installation warranty. This covers fading or discoloration of the film as well as peeling or bubbling. The warranty does not cover physical damage, such as scratches or tears, or dust particles, as stated previously.
Please inspect your windows and address any concerns before leaving when you come to pick up your vehicle.
Wrapping
Surface
Please bring your vehicle to us washed. Dust or dirt particles will show though under the wrap. If your vehicle had any type of body imperfections such as dents or rust, please let us know prior to your appointment. These imperfections will also show through the wrap. NM Tints are not responsible for any cosmetic issues that are on the vehicle prior to wrap install.
Warranty
Our 3M film comes with a yearlong manufacturer and installation warranty. This covers fading or discoloration of the film as well as peeling or bubbling. The warranty does not cover physical damage, such as scratches or tears. Nor does it cover bumps do to dust particles or imperfections in the paint.
If you opt for a film from a manufacturer other than 3M, please ask about the specific warranty offered, as they are not all the same.
Please inspect your vehicle and address any concerns before leaving when you come to pick up your vehicle.
General
We are not responsible for personal items left in the vehicle. We will not warranty any film that has been rubbed, scratched, hit, ECT by rings, jewelry, or any hard objects of any kind.
Removal of decals, emblems, or anything held to the car with adhesive will require adhesive removal. We take every precaution when removing adhesive, but there are inherent risks to paint, especially any type of top coat or ceramic coating. NM Tints & Wraps is not responsible for damage or fading around the area of adhesive removal.
We are not responsible for misuse of any addition requested be made to the car; i.e. if you would like a front splitter added, then drive at excessive speeds, NM Tints & Wraps is not responsible when the downforce rips your bumper off. Nothing is tested in an air tunnel; this includes but is not limited to: splitters, diffusers, spoilers, canards, etc. NM Tints & Wraps will install such pieces for cosmetic purposes only, not for practical application.
When removing trim or similar pieces, especially on older vehicles, it is possible for the clips holding them in to snap. If that happens there may be a small fee to replace them as we will have to purchase new clips to ensure the piece is properly reinstalled.
You agree to allow us to use pictures of your vehicle, showing our work, on our social media pages and website as advertising.
Service to be done and price is agreed upon before we begin working on your vehicle. Any change in requested service is subject to additional fees.
